March 27, 2020 With the unfortunate presence of the virus called Covid – 19 circulating and consuming the world today, many of you have or will have a lot of extra time on your hands. We’ll remember this for a long time, but it’s only temporary. If you’re looking for a distraction and some new content to check out, I’ve put a little list of a few of my favorite YouTube channels that I think you’ll enjoy and be able to take something from. 1. WhatCulture – Culture, Life This fantastic channel made up of various folks from U.K. covers everything from wrestling, food and deleted movie scenes. Their videos are beautifully produced, always informative and there is no shortage of comedy and fun. You will surely find something interesting from this channel at any given moment. 2. Scotty Kilmer – Automotive REV UP YOUR ENGINES!!! Scotty Kilmer is a mechanic, but also someone who knows how stand(or sit) in front a video recording device and engage millions of folks. He gives honest advice on pretty much every car manufacturer on the market and tells you if the car you’re about to buy is a good choice or not. He keeps up on current events regarding automotive manufactures and many current events involving the automotive world. As someone who is partially mechanically inclined and read up for years about cars and even some of their stock market prices, this guy is legit, plain and simple. 3.The World According to Briggs – Travel Are you curious about moving to a different state, city or country? Do you want to know which state has the worst health care or is the most obese? Look no more, because I found the answers to many of your questions. This guy does Top 10 lists. From what I can tell, it’s very, very fact based stats that he’s observing and those stats help shape many of his lists. So, it’s informative, accurate, and interesting. There are others that do the same thing he does, I just think he does it the best. 4.MASHED – Food / Consumer Goods I’ve been involved in the food industry over half my life, but I am by no means a “foodie”. MASHED opens up and possibly brings back curiosities you thought you’d never revisit or think about ever again in your life within a matter of seconds in many of their videos. They reveal facts and uncover myths about much of the worlds favorite eatable icons, grocery stores and other well known consumer establishments. I have watched dozens and dozens of videos from this group, and I’ve never been left saying “man, what a waste of time.” Again, fun, distracting and informative. 5.Minty Comedic Arts – Movies / Entertainment This guy is Australian, great at what he does, consistently entertaining and I’ve never seen him without his sunglasses on. He’s straight to the point and engages me every single time with his publications, even if I’m reeled into watching something I’m really not that interested in. He voices his opinions, but it never feels overpowering no matter how much you agree or disagree with him. The mans content is witty, a pure joy to watch and you’ll more than likely learn something new every time.
